Imagine flying by floatplane into the farthest northern wilderness of Saskatchewan where a beautifully constructed fishing camp awaits you with comfortable and modern facilities, which are foreign to this northern outpost region of Canada. The scenery is breathtaking, the air crystal clean and the abundance of wildlife reminds you of a time when exploring uncharted wilderness was an everyday activity. It's all here waiting for you.
Fishing is the main focus of our resort. Lower Foster Lake is stuffed with Trophy Northern Pike and Monster Lake Trout. It is considered one of the top fishing lakes in Northern Saskatchewan for Northern Pike and Lake Trout and offers a quality of fishing that only a wilderness fly-in lodge can provide. Catch & Release on all large to trophy fish maintains this great fishery. Guests sometimes get a big surprise with a gigantic Burbot (Ling) on the line and most times the fisherperson was not even fishing for them.
We are located 100 air miles north of La Ronge, Saskatchewan and only accessible by floatplane. The main lodge was originally built by the world famous Jacques Cousteau for filming a documentary on aquatic wildlife such as Beaver, Mink, Pine Marten and Otters. Recently, many new additions to the main lodge as well as one new vertical log cabin have been added to maximize comfort levels.
We cannot forget about the food. All our home cooked meals are served buffet style so you can eat as much or as little as you want. You also get one big shore lunch of fresh fish with all the fixings.
Our 16-foot (16'6") boats are wide, stable and comfortable. They are specifically designed for fishing with the ability to troll at slow speeds and get in-&-out of tight or shallow spots. In addition we have a large pontoon boat, which is great for taking relaxing tours of the lake and also as a comfortable boat for guests with physical challenges. All boats have Honda 4-stroke motors.
There's more to do other than fishing for Trophy Northern Pike and Trophy Lake Trout. We have many other activities such as swimming on our sandy beach, exploring the backcountry and much more, which will make for a fulfilling wilderness vacation that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
